Rose Byrne is an Australian actress, who is most notable for the portrayal in the film entitled, The Goddess of 1967, she was born on July 24, 1979 in Balmain, which is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, to Jane and Robin Byrne, a school administrator and a market researcher. Byrne was baptized with the real name of Mary Rose Byrne and was the youngest of the four children.  Byrne has an older brother named George and another two older sisters named, Alice and Lucy. Her mother and father were both an atheists. Byrne entered the Balmain Public School and the Hunters Hill High School before she entered the Bradfield College in Crows Nest. She then started on attending acting classes at the young age of eight, participating at the Australian Theater for Young People. She also entered the University of Sydney and in year 1999, she took acting at the Atlantic Theater Company, which has been developed by David Mamet as well as William H. Macy.

On the other hand, at the young age of 13, Byrne was included in the casts of the film entitled, Dallas Doll, together with the stars of Victoria Longley and Celia Ireland. Byrne then appeared in various TV shows like in the Heartbreak High as well as in the Echo Point. She also appeared in the film of Two Hands, which also includes the stars of Heath Ledger. In year 2000, Byrne appeared in the Australian film of My Mother Frank. Also, in year 2000, Byrne starred in the film called, the Goddess of 1967, which garnered her the Volpi Cup for the Best Actress at the 2000 Venice Film Festival. Moreover, Byrne appeared as a guest star in one of the episodes of the drama series of Murder Call.

In year 2002, Byrne had her initial appearance in a Hollywood film of Star Wars: Episode II-Attack of the Clones, where she portrayed the role of Dorme, alongside Natalie Portman. On the following year, she starred in the films of The Night We Called It a Day and in The Rage in Placid Lake. In addition, in year 2006, Byrne was included in the cast of the film of Marie Antoinette and in the film called, The Dead Girl, together with the star of Kirsten Dunst. On the following year, she portrayed the role of Cassie in the film of Sunshine.  She also appeared in the independent film entitled, Just Buried. In year 2009, Byrne starred alongside Nicolas Cage in the thriller film of Knowing. In year 2011, Byrne appeared as Moira MacTaggert in the superhero action film of X-Men: First Class. She also starred in the comedy film of bridesmaids and in the film of Insidious.
