Sara Paxton is an American actress, who earned much prominence for the portrayal of Darcy Fields in the TV series called, Darcy’s Wild Life. She was born on April 25, 1988 in Woodland Hill, Los Angeles, to Lucia and Steve Paxton, who were both dentists. In addition, Paxton was the only child grew up in San Fernando Valley, deciding to enter a public school instead of homeschooling. Paxton appeared first in Musical theater before in various TV commercials at the very young age. On the other hand, her first film role was in the 1997 comedy film entitled, Liar Liar, which starred Jim Carrey. In late 1990s and early 2000s, Paxton has already appeared in several TV and film roles, which also includes a role in the soap opera of the Passions. She then had a regular roles in the TV series of Action and Greetings from Tucsan.
On the other hand, Paxton also appeared as a guest star in one of the Disney shows entitled, Lizzie McGuire, which also starred Hilary Duff. In year 2003, Paxton starred in the 3-D film called, haunted Lighthouse. She has also appeared in the CSI: Miami, where she portrayed the role of Lana as well as in the Disney film called, Return to Holloweentown, portraying the role of Marnie Piper. Moreover, Paxton’s break came when she portrayed the role of Stacie Blake in the 2004 film of Sleepover, which also includes the stars of Alexa Vega and Mika Boorem. On the same year, Paxton also appeared in several episodes of the TV series of Summerland, where she portrayed the role of Sarah Borden. Subsequently, Paxton appeared in the Discovery Kid TV series called, Darcy’s Wild Life, where she portrayed the title role of Darcy Fields. The series aired from year 2004 until the year of 2006. For her portrayal on the said series, Paxton has earned an Emmy nomination also in year 2006.
In year 2005, Paxton took three months to film the movie entitled, Aquamarine, where she portrayed the role of a mermaid named Aquamarine, together with Emma Roberts and Jojo. On the other hand, Paxton has also hosted The Secret Life of Water, the initial episode of the series of Planet H20, which has been premiered in year 2006. On the same year, Paxton appeared in the TV series of Pepper Dennis, where she portrayed the role of a teen actress. She then appeared in Return to Holloweentown. On the following year, Paxton portrayed a supporting role of Rachel Witchburn in the comedy film entitled, Sydney White. She then portrayed the lead role of Jill Johnson in the film called, Superhero Movie. She portrayed the lead role of Claire in the 2011 horror film of The Innkeepers as well as in the film of Shark Night 3Dm where she portrayed the lead role of Sara Powski.
