The 34-year-old American actor was born on October 3, 1976 in Cottage Grove, Minnesoto, to Patricia Anne and William Frank Scott, a homemaker and a factory worker. He has an older brother named Daniel, who helped him found the American new satire organization called, The Onion. Scott was encouraged to be an actor while he was still working at the local movie theater, watching all the movies he could for free. In addition, Scott graduated at Crestview Elementary School and in Park High School. After he completed his high school year, Scott entered the Glendale Community College. On the other hand, his first ever professional work was in one of the music videos of Aerosmith entitled, Hole in My Soul. He then appeared in the TV show of Chad’s World.
In year 1999, Scott subsequently appeared in the teen comedy film that has been written by Adam Herz entitled, American Pie, where he portrayed the role of Steve Stifler and reprised it in the second and third sequel of the film. He then appeared in the supernatural horror film of Final Destination, where he portrayed the role of Billy Hithcock. He also starred together with Ashton Kutcher in the 200 stoner comedy film entitled, Dude, Where’s My Car?. On the other hand, Scott also made an appearance in the comedy film of Kevin Smith called, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, in year 2001. He then portrayed one of the lead roles in the comedy drama film of Southland Tales, which also includes the stars of Dwayne Johnson, Sarah Michele Gellar, Mandy Moore and Justine Timberlake. The film reunites him with the actor Dwayne Johnson, whom he previously worked with in the 2003 American action comedy film of The Rundown.
In addition, Scott became the host of the MTV Movie Awards year 2003 together with the hip hop artist Justine Timberlake. The two performed various skits, which also includes some scenes from the box office hit film of The Matrix Reloaded. Scott also hosted the late-night TV sketch comedy of Saturday Night Live. He also appeared as a guest host on the Live with Regis and Kelly. In year 2004, it was said that Scott earned the role of Kar in the film of Bulletproof Mon in year 2003 after the late Heath Ledger dropped out of the film. On the other hand, he was considered for the role of Evan Treborn in the film entitled, The Butterfly Effect but the role landed to the actor Ashton Kutcher.
Seann William Scott starred together with Bruce Willis and Tracy Moran in the action comedy of Cop Out, which has been directed by Kevin Smith. On the other hand, Scott is set to reprise his role as Steve Stifler in the forthcoming sequel of the comedy film of American Pie.
