Selma Blair is an American actress, who is most notable for the portrayal of Kim in the TV series entitled, Kath & Kim. She was born on June 23, 1972 in Southfield, Michigan, to Elliot and Molly Ann Beitner. She was baptized with the real name of Selma Blair Beitner and has three sisters named Katherine and Elizabeth as well as Marie. In addition, Blair entered the Hillel Day School, which is a Jewish day School in Farmington Hills, Crankbrook Kingswood in Bloomfield Hills. She also attended the Kalamazoo College. After he transferred from the New York University, she became magna cum laude from the University of Michigan in year 1994, having a BFA in photography and a Double major in Fine Arts & English as well as a BA in Psychology. She then relocated to New York city for her to continue her photography career, where she attended acting classes at The Stella Adler Conservatory and The Column Theater and started her acting career.
On the other hand, after Blair has been trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting, she has been discovered by an agent, she subsequently earned a membership card at the Actor’s union and gave her initial appearance in an advertising for a theater in Virginia. She then started her professional acting career amid of year 1990s and had her profession acting role in year 1995 in one of the episodes of the TV sitcom of The Adventure of Pete & Pete. She then had her first lead role in the TV series of Amazon High, together with the star of Karl Urban. In year 1996, she had her first film role, when she was included in the casts of the film called, The Broccoli Theory. She then appeared in various independent films such as the Debutante, together with Josh Hartner. She also appeared in the film called, Girl, which also includes the star of Dominique Swain.
From year 1999 up to the year 2000, she appeared as Zoe Bean on Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane. She then had a spot in the TV series of Friends. In year 2003, he was included in the casts of the romantic comedy called, A Guy Thing, together with the star of Jason lee. He then appeared in the TV film of Coast to Coast. In year 2005, she appeared in the Thriller film of The Deal, which also includes the star of Christian Slater. In year 2008, Blair appeared as Liz Sherman in the film of Hellboy II: The Golden Army, which earned her a nomination for the Scream Awards for the Best Actress in a Fantasy Movie or TV show. In year 2010, she had a lead role in the thriller called, Columbus Circle, which also includes Amy Smart. On the following year, she appeared in the Episode of the series show of Portlandia entitled, Blunderbuss. In addition, she is set to appear in the upcoming drama called, Four Saints as we;; as in the comedy drama of Different Kind of Love.
