Simon Pegg is an English actor, who earned much prominence for his portrayal of Shaun Riley in the comedy film entitled, Shaun of the Dead. He was born on February 14, 1970 in Brockworth, Gloucestershire, England, to Gilliam rosemary and John Henry Buckingham, a civil servant and a keyboard salesman. He was baptized with the real name of Simon John Beckingham and when his parents divorced, he took the surname of Pegg after his mother married again. Pegg entered several schools, which also includes Castle Hill Primary Schhol and Brockworth Comprehensive Secondary School as well as the University of Bristol and Stratford-upon-Avon College, where he took English literature and performance studies. He also studied drama at the University of Bristol. He also appeared in a Drama Society production of Howard Barker’s Victory together with Sarah Kane and David Greig.

On the other hand, in year 1993, Pegg relocated to London and also performed on the comedy path. In year 1995, he had his acclaimed one-man to the Edinburgh Festival, which also led him to be invited to have a performance at the festivals in Adelaide and Melbourne in Australia as well as in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand. His work as a stand up has earned the attention of the of various TV producers, leading to his appearances in the TV series of Asylum, where he portrayed the role of Simon as well as in Faith in the Future and in Big Train as well as in Hippies. In addition, Pegg is regularly featured in the BBC Radio 4’s The 99p Challenge. In year 1999, he created and also co-wrote the Channel 4 sitcom called, Spaced, where he portrayed the role of Tim Bisley together with Jessica Stevenson. For his portrayal on the said series, Pegg earned nomination for a British Comedy Award as the Best Male Comedy Newcomer.

He then starred in the romantic zombie-comedy film called, Shaun of the Dead, which has been released in year 2004. On the same year, Pegg also starred in the spin-off of TV show called, Danger! 50,000 Volts! Entitled, Danger! 50,000 Zombies!, where he portrayed the role of Dr. Russel Fell. He also appeared as First Sergeant William Evans in the miniseries called, Band of Brothers. He also appeared as a guest star in the British film called, 24 Hour Party People. In year 2007, Pegg starred in the romantic comedy film entitled, the Good Night, where he portrayed the role or Pau, together with Gwyneth Paltrow and Penelope Cruz. In year 2010, Pegg portrayed the role of William Burke in the British comedy film entitled, Burke and Hare, which also starred Andy Serkis and Isla Fisher as well as Tom Wilkinson. On the other hand, Pegg also appeared in the 2011 film of called, Paul and in the animated short film of Scrat’s Continental Crack-up. In addition, Pegg is set to appear in the upcoming film entitled, A Fantastic Fear of Everything.
