Sophia Bush is an American actress, who is most notable for the portrayal of Grace Andrews in the film entitled, The Hitcher. She was born on July 8, 1982 in Pasadena, California, to Maureen and Charles William Bush, a photography studio manager and an advertising and celebrity photographer. She was baptized with the real name of Sophia Anna Bush and has an Italian descent. She attended the Westridge Schools for Girls in year 2000, where he became one of the players of the volleyball team. When she was still on the said school, Bush stated that she was required to join the theatre in the arts program and was irritated but eventually showed interest on acting. In addition, Bush was crowned as the Tournament of Roses Parade Queen, when she was 17. She also entered the University of Southern California, where she took major in journalism. In the university, Bush became one of the members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.  After being included in the ensemble of the TV series of One Tree Hill, where she portrayed the role of Brooke Davis, Bush eventually left the said University of Southern California in year 2003.

On the other hand, Bush made her film debut when she was included in the ensemble of the 2002 comedy film entitled, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, where she portrayed the role of Sally, together with Ryan Reynolds and Tara Reid. She then appeared in the drama series of Nip/Tuck and in the sitcom Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, as well as in Punk’d. She then replaced Claire Danes for the role of Kate Brewster in the science fiction action film of the Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, which stares Arnold Schwarzenegger. In year 2003, Bush was cast as Brooke Davis in the TV series of CW called, One Tree Hill. After gaining wide range of attentions, Bush became the spokesperson of various well-known brands and has also posed for the covers of several magazines, which also includes the Entertainment Weekly, luck and Maxim as well as Glamour and InStyle. On the following year, Bush landed on the 15th spot in the 2004 MuchMusic’s 20 Hottest Women list.

In year 2005, Bush starred in the action film called, Supercross, where she portrayed the role of Zoe Lang, alongside Steve Howey, Mike Vogel and Cameron Richardson. On the following year, Bush appeared in William Brent Bell’s horror film entitled, Stay Alive, where she portrayed the role of October Bantum, together with the stars of Jon Foster and Frankie Muniz. On the same year, Bush appeared as Beth in the 2006 romantic comedy film called, John Tucker Must Die, which also starred Brittany Snow, Arielle Kebbel, Ashanti and Penn Badgley. On the following year, she was included in the casts of the horror film of the Hitcher, where she portrayed the female lead role of Grace Andrews together with Sean Bea, who portrayed the female lead role. On the following year, Bush appeared in the independent film of The Narrows, where she portrayed the role of Kathy Popovich, alongside Kevin Zegers and Vincent D’Onofrio. Subsequently, Bush starred together with Brandon Routh and Jesse Bradford in the comedy film entitled, Table for Three. On the other hand, Bush has recently appeared as Chloe in the 2011 romantic comedy film of Chalet Girl, which starred Ed Westwick and Felicity Jones as well as Bill Bailey and Bill Nighy. In addition, Bush is set to appear in the upcoming film entitled, Easy Ride, where she would be portraying the role of Sarah.
