Steve Coogan is an English actor, who was born on October 14, 1965 and was baptized with the real name of Steven John ‘Steve’ Coogan. He is the son of Kathleen and Anthony Coogan, a homemaker and an IBM engineer. He was born and raised in Alkrington, which is a suburb of Middleton, North of Manchester. Coogan, who was raised as a Roman Catholic has four brothers and two sisters. In addition, Coogan has a hidden talent when it comes impersonating and he wanted to go to drama school, in spite the fact that his teacher advised him that attending a drama school can only lead to a unstable work. It was said that Coogan went to five interviews for drama school in London, after having confidence by joining the theater company in Manchester, which is called the New Music and then he earned a spot in the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theater.
Steve Coogan began as a comic and mimic in Ipswich and he also done some voice-over work for adverts and impressions of the British satirical puppet show of Spitting Image. I year 2988, Coogan made an impression of Price Charles, which has been featured on the Urban Label release of Don’t Believe the Hyper by Mista E. on the other hand, Coogan starred together with Caroline Aherne and John Thomson in the sketch show of The Dead Good Show in year 1993.
He subsequently teamed up with Chris Morris and Armando Lannucci on the comedy show of Radio 4 entitled, On the Hour, where he portrayed the role of Alan Patridge. In year 1993, Cooga made his wider public notice, appearing in several episodes in the Saturday Zoo, which is a late night show hosted by Jonathan Ross. He then starred in different TV series shows like in Coogan’s Run, Dr. Terrible’s House of Horrible and Monkey Trousers as well as Saxondale.
On the other hand, Coogan appeared in various films such as the 24 Hour Party People, where he portrayed the role of Toby Wilson. He also appeared in the film of The Wind in the Willows. In year 2003, Coogan appeared as himself in the film of Coffee and Cigarettes as well as in the 2006 film of A Cock and Bull Story, which also includes the star of Rob Brydon. In year 2009, he starred in the comedy-drama film of What Goes Up, which also starred Hilary Duff, Olivia Thrilby and Molly Shannon as well as Josh Pack. On the other hand, Coogan also appeared together with Brittany Snow in the comedy film of Finding Amanda, where he portrayed the role of Taylor Peters Mendon. HE then portrayed the role of Octavius in the film of Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonia. Coogan subsequently played the role of Hades in the film of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
