Steven Seagal is an American actor, a producer, writer and a martial artist as well as a reserve deputy sheriff. He was born on April 10, 1952 in Lansing, Michigan, to Patricia and Samuel Steve Seagal, a medical technician and a high school math teacher. His mother was an Irish American, while his father was a Jewish. Seagal was baptized with the real name of Steven Frederic Seagal. He together with his family moved to Fullerton, California, where entered the Buena Park High School in Buena Park. On the other hand, Seagal started his adult life as an Aikidio instructor in Japan. He then turned to be the first foreigner to manage an Aikido Dojo in Japan.
On the other hand, after they moved to California, Seagal made his debut in the 1988 action film entitled, Above the Law, where he portrayed the role of Nico Toscani. By the year 1991, he starred in three consecutive films and will pursue to earn much fame in the 1992 action film of Under Siege. However, his image became tarnished when the film Under Siege 2: Dark Territory and the film called, On Deadly Ground, which he has been directed did weakly on cinemas. Amid of year 90s, portrayed the lead roles in three more films and also a direct-to-video film of The Patriot. On year 2001, Seagal portrayed the role of Orin Boyd in the action film called, Ext Wounds.
On the following year, Seagal starred in the action film of Half Past Dead, where he portrayed the role of Sascha Petrosevitch. The film also includes the stars of Morris Chestnut and Ja Rule. It was said that all if the movie that has been made by the actor in the latter half of the year 2001, have been released as a direct-to-video (DTV) across the North America. In addition, Seagal was also credited as a producer and a writer on some of the said films, including the films of Black Dawn and Belly of the Beast as well as Out of Reach, Submerged, Kill Switch and Urban Justice, Pistol Whi[ed and The Keeper, which has been released in Japan fifteen weeks earlier than the United States.
In year 2009, the A&E Network launched the TV series show called, Steven Seagal: Lawman, revolving around Seagal as a deputy in Louisiana. On the following year, he appeared in his first theatrical released movie in nearly a decade, as the lead villain in the directorial film of Robert Rodriguez entitled, Machete. In year 2011, Steven Seagal produced and also starred in a TV series entitled, True Justice, which composed a total of 13 episodes. On May of the same year, Seagal was featured on the Sherdog Radio Network’s “It’s Time” show together with Bruce Buffei, where he discussed his relationship with Silva and Machida. He also spoke about his training methods.
