Susan Sarandon is an American actress, who is most notable for the portrayal in the film entitled, Dead Man Walking, where she earned an Academy Award for Best Actress. Sarandon was born on October 4, 1946 in New York City, to Leonora Marie and Philip Leslie Tomalin. Sarandon was baptized with the real name of Susan Abigail Tomalin and was the eldest of nine children. In addition, Sarandon grew up in a Roman Catholic family in Edison, New Jersey and entred Roman Catholic Schools. In year 1964, she graduated from the Edison High School and subsequently enrolled at The Catholic University of America in year 1964 until the year, and received a BA in drama and has also worked with some well known drama coaches.

On the other hand, in year 1969, she was included in the ensemble of the drama film called, Joe, which also includes the stars of Peter Boyle and Dennis Patrick. Amid of years 1970 and 1972, Sarandon portrayed the role of Patrice Kahlman in the soap opera entitled, A World Apart as well as the role of Sarah Fairbanks in the soap opera of Search for Tomorrow. In year 1974, Sarandon appeared in the Broadway comedy of The Front Page. On the same year, she starred together with Anthony Perkins and Beau Bridges as well as Blythe Danner and Ed Binns in the drama film entitled, Lovin’ Molly, where he she portrayed the role of Sarah.

On the following year, she appeared in the film of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which also includes the stars of Tim Curry and Barry Bostwick as well as Richard O’Brien. In year 1983, she was included in the casts of the horror film of The Hunger, where he portrayed the role of Dr. Sarah Roberts, together with Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie. In year 1989, he starred together with Marlon Brando in the film called, A Dry White Season. On the following year, she also starred alongside James Spader in the film of White Palace. In year 1994, she appeared in the thriller film of The Client. On the other hand, in year 1999, she was included in the ensemble of the drama film of the Cradle Will Rock.

Moreover, in year 2002, she appeared in the comedy film of The Banger Sister. In year 2004, she appeared in the films of Shall We Dance and in Alfie, which starred Jude Law. In year 2006, she portrayed the role of Sophie in the film called, Irresistible. On the following year, she appeared in the film of In the Valley of Elah and in Enchanted as well as in Emotional Arithmetic. In year 2009, she was included in the casts of The Lovely Bones and the Solitary Man. In tear 2010, she appeared as Sylvia Moore in the drama film of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. In addition, Sarandon is set to appear in the upcoming comedy film called, I Hate You, Dad.
