Teresa Palmer is an Australian actress, who was born on February 26, 1986 in Adelaide, South Australia and the only child to Kevin Palmer and Paula Sanders, an investor and a previous nurse and missionary. In addition, Palmer has a stepmother and two half siblings, who then lived together with her father. At the young age of three, her parents separated and she lived together with her mother and then grew up on her father’s farm in the Adelaide Hills. Her name was derived after the late Mother Teresa. She attended the Mercedes College, which is a Catholic day School and earned a local casting try out for the Search for a Movie Star in year 2003. Palmer also participated in acting classes fro few years and also did a few TV commercials.
After graduating from high school, Palmer received a call from her local gent with regards on appearing in a student film called, 2:37. Palmer considered on working on an animal rescue service, the sooner or later she opened her own animal welfare agency. In addition, Palmer was also accepted in a university to study teaching and was also taking a course on journalism. However, acting still the field she wanted to take. She subsequently left the university to work on the film.
At the young age of 18, Palmer was included in the casts of the independent Australian film entitled, 2:37, from the filmmaker Murali K. Thalluri. She also appeared as an extra on the 2005 film of Deck Dogz. On the other hand, she earned nomination for the 2006 Australian Film Institute Award for the category of Best Lead Actress for her portrayal. She then joined a talent agent in Sydney after the said film. She was also included in the 2005 film of Wolf Creek.
Palmer subsequently appeared in the 2008 Australian film of Restraint, where she portrayed the role of Dale together with the star of Stephen Moyer and Tracis Fimmel. She subsequently appeared in the film of December Boys, which also starred Daniel Radcliffe and Lee Cormie. On the other hand, her film entitled, 2:37, debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in year 2006 and it was said that the film garnered a standing ovation. Palmer subsequently cast to star in the film entitled, Feature, which also includes the star of Tm Sturridge. However, her part was then recast when the lead roles were set for the older ones and her supposedly role went to Rachel Bilson.
In year 2009, she made the film production company called, Avakea Productions, together with Tahyna Tozzi and Nathalie Kelley, who is also an Australian actress. On the other hand, Teresa Palmer was recently starred in the 2011 teen action film of I AM Number Four, which has been directed by D. J. Caruso. The film also starred Alley Pettyfer, Dianna Agron, and Kevin Durand as well as Timothy Olyphant. In addition, Palmer is set to star in the upcoming film of Fury Road, a sequel to the film franchise of Mad Max.
