Tiger Woods is an American golfer who became the highest paid professional athlete in the world. He was born on December 30, 1975 in Cypress, California under the name Eldrick Tont Woods. He was raised by Earl and Kultida Woods. He is the sole child; however, he has two half brothers namely Earl Jr. and Kevin. Woods also has a half sister named Royce. Woods’ father is a retired lieutenant colonel and a Vietnam War veteran. Her mother has a mixed of Thai, Dutch, as well as Chinese ancestry. Woods was raised under the Buddhist religion.
Woods is very famous in the world of golf. His father introduced the game to him at the age of two. At the early age of three, he was able to shot a 48 over nine holes in the Cypress Navy course. He also appeared in “Golf Digest” as well as in “That’s Incredible”. When he was about to turn seven years old, Tiger won the Under Age 10 section held at the Navy Golf Course in Cypress, California. Earl Woods revealed that his son beat him when he was only 11 years old.

On May 3, 2006, Tiger’s father died at the age of 74 because of prostate cancer. This leads him to take a break in his golf career for the span of nine weeks from the PGA Tour. Woods’ father was his mentor and inspiration in his golf career.
Woods’ engagement with Elin Nordegren, a Swedish former model, happened on November 2003. They married on October 5, 2004 at the Sandy Lane resort on the Caribbean island of Barbados. Their first daughter named Sam was born on June 18, 2007. Their second son was named Charlie Axel Woods born on February 8, 2009. The marriage ended on August 23, 2010.
