One of the most known singers in the Hollywood is no other than Usher. He was born on October 14, 1978 at Dallas, Texas. His parents were Usher Raymond III and Jonetta Patton. When Usher was a nine year old kid, his mother seen his ability to sing so he let Usher joined the youth choir on their local church. At the age of 11-year-old, Usher joined a local quintet for R&B called the NuBeginnings, which was managed by Darryl Wheeler, a local music svengali.
In 1991, Usher recorded ten songs with the group, and the following NuBeginning Featuring Usher Raymond IV, was only made available by mail order and in the region. Still, his mother took him out because, according to Patton, it was an awful experience. Moreover, the album was re-launched all over the country by Hip-O Records in April 2002.
Aside from being a singer, Usher is also an actor and a dancer. His next album in 2001 entitled 8701 generated the Billboard Hot 100’snumber one hits with his songs U Got It Bad and U Remind Me. Both albums sold more than eight million copies all over the world, making him as one of the largest selling artists of the 1990s in the category of R&B. the third studio album of Usher, originally entitled All About U, was scheduled to launched in early fall of 2001.
Its first single, Pop Ya Collar, was released in late 2000 and became a number two hit song in the U.K. but underperformed in the U.S. In addition, the albumw as later retooled and drove back after some of its tracks were leaked to the Internet and radio. His fourth album entitled Confessions was launched on March 23, 2004. The first single of this album , Yeah!, topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles on its fifth week and hit the number spot on the Billboard Hot 100 on its sixth week.
The album’s almost 1.1 million debut sales was the highest quantities for the first week ever flicked by an R&B male artist and it was the seventh best in the history of Nielsen SoundScan. So far, the album has gathered its sales for more than 20 million copies globally, more than ten million of which were sold in the U.S., gaining the album a Diamond Certification by the Recording Industry Association of America.
