William H. Macy is an American actor and writer, who was nominated for an Academy award for his portrayal as Jerry Lundegaard in film Fargo, was born on March 13, 1950 in Miami, Florida to Lois and William Hall Macy Sr. who receive the Distinguishing Flying Cross. Macy was baptized with the real name of William Macy Hall Jr., who grew up in Georgia and in Maryland.

After he finished his studies in the Allegany High School in Cumberland, Maryland in year 1968, he was involved in the anti-war hippie movement. Macy also studied a veterinary medicine in the Bethany School College of West Virginia and then moved to Goddard College, where he participates on theater and performed in the productions of The Three Penny Opera and in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

After living for some time in Los Angeles, Macy moved to New York City in year 1980. While he living there, Macy had over fifty roles Off Broadway and in Broadway plays. Macy rose to fame in film Fargo, for portraying the role of Jerry Lundegaard, where he earned an Academy Award, helped him improve his career, even though he was on the state of expense of nearly confining him a narrow typecast of a concerned man on his fortune.

On the other hand, Macy also had various roles on TV and the most-recent appearance he made, was on drama TV series of The Unit, where he appeared as the President of the United States. Macy received two prestigious Emmy Awards in year 2003. He received the said awards because of his performance in the film entitled, Door to Door. In addition, his participation in the series of ER and Sports Night has also been distinguished with an Emmy Nominations.

In year 2007, Macy was included as one of the stars of the 2007 film of Wild Hogs together with Tim Allen and John Travolta. The said film grossed a total amount of $168 Million worldwide. Macy also starred on the 2009 comedy film of The Maiden Heist, together with Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken. He also appeared on the 2010 film of Dirty Girl alongside Juno Temple, Milla Jovovich, Mary Steenburgen and Tim McGraw. On June 2008, Macy and His wife were both announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, will each garner a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In his personal life, William Macy tied the knot with his fellow artist, Felicity Huffman, and has been married since year 1997. The two had two daughters, Sofia Grace, who was born on August 1, 2000 and Georgia Grace, who was born on March 14, 2002. Macy together with his wife and two daughters are currently living in Los Angeles, California. They also have a house in Vermont since late 1980s. On the other hand, Macy and her wife Huffman, were both made an appearance at a rally for John Kerry in year 2004.
